Lagotto Romagnolo
One of the oldest known breeds of dogs (traces recorded since 1600 – XVI century)aquatic and fetching inhabiting the areas of the Comacchio swamps and lagoon regions around Ravenna, in Italy.
An excellent sense of smell distinguishes this breed. For this reason,
it is the only breed in the world specializing in the search for truffles. Lagotti Romagnoli are typically healthy dogs who live a very long life
— it’s not abnormal to live to be 15–17 years old!
Lagotto Romangolo is a medium-breed dog (medium) with a gentle disposition, friendly to people and animals. The name of this breed, unusual in many ways, comes from the Italian word lago meaning lake. The name derives from Romagnol can lagòt, meaning "water dog".
